Okaply Industries was established in 1966 in Oka, Quebec, Canada by Ernest M. Hirscheimer.
The company was one of the largest producers of pre-finished paneling in North America, supplying the retail market as well as manufacturers of Recreational Vehicles, Pre-fab Homes, and factory built structures.
In 1975 Okaply bought Panofab, a company that specialized in laminating all types of panels with papers and vinyls. Thereafter Okaply supplied industrial OEMs with laminated, and painted panels including manufacturers of furniture, displays, store fixtures and kitchen cabinets.
In 1990, Okaply purchased new equipment (including panel saws, edgebanders and machining centers) to produce components to better serve its customer base, and expand into new markets.
In 2008, the company redesigned its 100,000 square foot factory and warehouse in Oka to be able to produce and operate more efficiently and better service our clients.
